The Happiness of Heaven in the Repentance of Sinners
Thabiti Anyabwile gives a sermon from Luke 15 where Jesus tells three parables about the joy in finding something that was lost: a coin, a sheep, a son. Something similar happens in heaven when a sinner repents of their sin and trusts in Christ, when a sheep returns to the Good Shepherd. This heavenly happiness is eternal and unmitigated. So as we evangelize, calling for Spirit-wrought repentance, we understand this call to true repentance is a call to true joy.

Thabiti Anyabwile is the pastor of Anacostia River Church in Washington, D.C. Prior to that, Thabiti served as the pastor of First Baptist Church of Grand Cayman for seven years. He is a native of Lexington, North Carolina. Thabiti holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in psychology from North Carolina State University.
