Mark Dever

Dr. Mark Dever serves as the Senior Pastor of Capitol Hill Baptist Church in Washington, D.C. He is the executive director of 9Marks and has taught at a number of seminaries. Dr. Dever has also authored several books and articles, including Crossway’s The Deliberate Church, 9Marks of a Healthy Church, Promises Made: The Message of the Old Testament, and Promises Kept: The Message of the New Testament. He and his wife, Connie, live and minister with their son, Nathan, on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C.


Duncan

Ligon Duncan

Dr. J. Ligon Duncan III is the Senior Minister of First Presbyterian Church in Jackson, Mississippi, and adjunct professor of theology at Reformed Theological Seminary. He is the Chairman of the Council on Biblical Manhood and Womanhood and is currently the moderator of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church in America. He has written and edited several books including Give Praise to God, Women’s Ministry in the Local Church, and The Westminster Confession into the 21st Century (3 vols. ). Ligon and his wife, Anne, are the parents of Sarah Kennedy and Jennings.


Mahaney

C.J. Mahaney

C.J. Mahaney leads Sovereign Grace Ministries in its mission to establish and support local churches. After 27 years of pastoring Covenant Life Church in Gaithersburg, Maryland, C.J. handed the senior pastor role to Joshua Harris. He serves on the Council of the Alliance of Confessing Evangelicals (ACE), and on the boards of The Council on Biblical Manhood and Womanhood (CBMW) and the Christian Counseling and Educational Foundation (CCEF). He is the author of The Cross Centered Life, Christ Our Mediator, Sex, Romance, and the Glory of God: What Every Christian Husband Needs to Know, Humility: True Greatness, and Living the Cross Centered Life. C.J. and his wife Carolyn have three married daughters and one son. They make their home in Gaithersburg, Maryland.

Albert Mohler

Dr. R. Albert Mohler Jr. serves as the ninth president of The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary—the flagship school of the Southern Baptist Convention and one of the largest seminaries in the world. He is an ordained minister and is recognized as a leading evangelical theologian. He has served as pastor and staff minister of several Southern Baptist churches. Besides hosting a nationwide radio program on the Salem Radio Network, Dr. Mohler also writes daily commentaries and blogs addressing theological, moral, and cultural issues. He is a popular preacher, teacher, and lecturer, as well as a frequent guest on national and international news outlets. He and his wife, Mary, have two children.

Thabiti Anyabwile

Thabiti Anyabwile serves as the Senior Pastor of First Baptist Church of Grand Cayman (Cayman Islands). Prior to assuming pastoral ministry duties at First Baptist Church, Thabiti served as an elder and assistant pastor for children and families at Capitol Hill Baptist Church. Thabiti holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in psychology from North Carolina State University and is the author of The Faithful Pastor: Recovering the Vision of Three Pioneering African-American Preachers (Crossway, 2007) and The Decline of African-American Theology: From Biblical Faithfulness to Cultural Captivity (IVP, forthcoming). Thabiti is the full-time husband to a loving wife, Kristie, and father to two adorable daughters, Afiya and Eden, and one son, Titus.

John MacArthur is the Pastor-Teacher of Grace Community Church in Sun Valley, California, president of The Master’s College and Seminary, and featured teacher with the Grace to You media ministry. Grace to You radio, video, audio, print, and website resources reach millions worldwide each day. Over four decades of ministry, John has written dozens of bestselling books, including The MacArthur Study Bible, The Gospel According to Jesus, The New Testament Commentary series, The Truth War, and The Jesus You Can’t Ignore. He and his wife, Patricia, have four married children and fourteen grandchildren.

Dr. John Piper is the Senior Pastor at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Minneapolis, Minnesota. John is the author of more than 20 books, many of which focus on living for the glory of God. His preaching and teaching are featured on the daily radio program Desiring God, and many of his books and sermons are available through Desiring God Ministries (desiringGod.org). He and wife, Noël, have four sons, one daughter, and several grandchildren.

Dr. R.C. Sproul is the founder, chairman and president of Ligonier Ministries, an international multimedia ministry located near Orlando, Florida. His teaching can be heard on the program Renewing Your Mind, which is broadcast on hundreds of radio outlets in the United States and in 40 countries worldwide. Dr. Sproul is the executive editor of Tabletalk magazine and general editor of The Reformation Study Bible. He currently serves as senior minister of preaching and teaching at Saint Andrew’s in Sanford, FL. Dr. Sproul is the author of more than seventy books and scores of articles for national evangelical publications.

Matt Chandler

Matt Chandler serves as Lead Pastor of The Village Church in Highland Village, TX. During his seven-year “re-planting effort” at The Village, the congregation has changed theological and philosophical directions and grown from 160 people to over 7,000. Matt is also involved in church planting efforts both locally and internationally through The Village as well as various strategic partnerships. Prior to accepting the pastorate at The Village, Matt had a vibrant itinerant ministry for over 10 years. His greatest joy outside of Jesus is being married to Lauren and being a dad to their three children, Audrey, Reid and Norah.

Eric Bancroft

Eric Bancroft serves as the Senior Pastor of Castleview Baptist Church in Indianapolis, Indiana. He is equally excited about his marriage to Danelle and being a father to his three sons, Isaac, David, and Jeremiah. Prior to his ministry at Castleview he had the privilege of serving on pastoral staff at Grace Community Church in Los Angeles, CA and teaching as an adjunct professor at The Master’s College. He is passionate about seeing churches be faithful to the gospel, courageous leadership reproduced through discipleship, and families led by humble men with conviction.

Anthony (Tony) Carter

Anthony (Tony) Carter serves as Lead Pastor of East Point Church, East Point, GA. He is author or editor of several books including On Being Black and Reformed: A New Look at the African-American Christian Experience, The Holiness of God: An Attribute First Among Equals, and Glory Road: The Journeys of 10 African-Americans into Reformed Christianity. A frequent conference speaker and guest lecturer, Anthony and his wife Adriane live in the Atlanta, GA area where they are raising their five children.

Kevin DeYoung is the Senior Pastor of University Reformed Church in East Lansing, Michigan, across the street from Michigan State University. He serves on the board of RCA Integrity, a renewal group within the Reformed Church in America. He is the co-author of Why We’re Not Emergent: By Two Guys Who Should Be and Why We Love the Church: In Praise of Institutions and Organized Religion, and the author of Just Do Something: A Liberating Approach to Finding God’s Will. Kevin and his wife, Trisha, have four children: Ian, Jacob, Elizabeth, and Paul.

Greg Gilbert serves as Assistant Pastor of Capitol Hill Baptist Church in Washington, D.C. He is a frequent writer and blogger for 9Marks and is the author of What Is The Gospel? (Spring 2010, Crossway) as well as a number of other book chapters and articles. Greg and his wife Moriah live with their three sons in Washington, D.C.

Brian Habig

Brian Habig planted, and now pastors, Downtown Presbyterian Church in Greenville, South Carolina. He previously served as a campus minister with Reformed University Fellowship at Mississippi State University and Vanderbilt University. He is also the co-author of The Enduring Community, an introduction to ecclesiology. Brian and his wife Dana have three children.

Joshua Harris is the Senior Pastor of Covenant Life Church in Gaithersburg, Maryland, a church in the Sovereign Grace network of churches. He leads Next, an annual conference focused on transferring the gospel to the next generation. Joshua is the author of several books. His latest is Dug Down Deep (Early 2010, Multnomah), which calls people to build their lives on sound doctrine. Joshua and his wife Shannon have three children, Emma, Joshua Quinn, and Mary Kate.

Mike McKinley

Mike McKinley serves as the Pastor of Guilford Baptist Church, a church plant from Capitol Hill Baptist Church in Sterling, VA. Mike has authored many articles, rants, screeds, and poorly conceived conspiracy theories but only his forthcoming book Church Planting is For Wimps (Spring 2010, Crossway) has seen the light of day, a fact for which we are all thankful. Mike hails from the Philadelphia area and is a graduate of Westminster Theological Seminary. He lives in Northern Virginia with his wife, Karen, and their children Kendall, Knox, Phineas, and Ebenezer.

David Platt

Dr. David Platt is the Senior Pastor of The Church at Brook Hills in Birmingham, AL. Before coming to Brook Hills, David served as Dean of the Chapel and Assistant Professor of Expository Preaching and Apologetics at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He travels nationally and internationally, teaching in seminaries, training leaders in underground churches, and proclaiming the gospel in unreached areas. David and his wife, Heather, have two sons and are in the process of adopting a daughter from Nepal.
