Geoff Chang serves as Associate Pastor at Hinson Baptist Church in Portland, OR. He earned his B.B.A. from The University of Texas at Austin and his M.Div. from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, and he is currently working on a Ph.D. in historical theology at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He is the Book Review Editor for History and Historical Theology for TGC’s Themelios and the editor of The Lost Sermons of C. H. Spurgeon, Volume V (B&H Academic, spring 2021). He is married to Stephanie and they have three kids.
James Choi was born in South Korea and moved to the U.S at age 7. He's lived in Florida, Oregon, and New Jersey, but grew up mostly in Coppell, TX, in a pastor’s home. At age 21, he was saved through the prayerful parenting of his aunt and uncle and his college ministry in Gainesville, FL. James moved to Maryland, after graduating from University of Florida and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, to serve at a Korean-American church as an associate pastor in 2008. In 2015, James participated in the pastoral internship and eventually transitioned to CHBC for further pastoral training. James testifies that every stage of his life is an evidence of God’s immeasurable grace! Currently, he teaches regularly through a Christian foundation, oversees Hope Christian Fellowship at George Washington University, and is finishing his Doctor of Ministry at Southern Seminary. James resides in Hyattsville, MD, with his wife Jeri, daughter Caidy, and son Micaiah. He desires to plant or revitalize a church in the greater DC area.
Jason Tarn is the Lead English Pastor of Houston Chinese Church (HCC), a multi-lingual immigrant church established in 1975 that stands as a pillar of the truth in the most ethnically diverse city in America. A native Houstonian, Jason was introduced to Jesus through the youth ministry of HCC. After receiving his bachelors from UT Austin, he returned to HCC to served their youth until moving to Vancouver, BC to complete an M.Div. at Regent College. Since 2008, Jason has been pastoring and preaching the gospel. In 2011, he returned once again to HCC to serve their English-speaking congregation. His passion is to bring healthy reform to the immigrant church that is rooted in sound doctrine and a missional vision. He is a husband to Theresa and father to their seven year old daughter .
Jeremy Yong is senior pastor of First Baptist Church of Hacienda Heights in Hacienda Heights, California. He came to faith through the witness of his parents and the Asian-American church in which he grew up. He felt called into the ministry while attending Biola University. Jeremy went on to earn his MDiv and DMin from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He has served at churches in Dubai (United Arab Emirates), Louisville, and Washington, D.C., and has had the privilege to serve as adjunct theology professor at Biola University. Jeremy and his wife, Melanie, have four children.
Won Kwak has served both bi-vocationally and non-vocationally as a pastor in Flushing [Queens, NY], Somerset [NJ], Rutherford [NJ], and Park Slope [Brooklyn, NY]. In 2005, he was commissioned as a Nehemiah Church Planter with the North American Mission Board. He is a graduate of Rutgers University and Union University [TN], and he’s also received extensive church planting training with Redeemer City to City. He moved his family to the Greater Fort Lee, NJ area for the purpose of leading and loving this church-planting mission.
