Mark Dever

Mark Dever

Mark Dever serves as the senior pastor of Capitol Hill Baptist Church in Washington, DC. A Duke graduate, Mark holds a M.Div. from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, a Th.M. from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, and a Ph.D. in Ecclesiastical History from Cambridge University. He is the president of 9Marks and has taught at a number of seminaries. Mark has authored several books and articles, most recently, Compelling Community, Baptist Foundations, The Gospel and Personal Evangelism, What is a Healthy Church?, and Nine Marks of a Healthy Church. He and his wife Connie live and minister on Capitol Hill. They have two adult children.
Sinclair Ferguson

Sinclair Ferguson

Sinclair B. Ferguson is a native of Scotland and earned his Ph.D. at the University of Aberdeen. He was minister of two churches in Scotland, on the Island of Unst the most northerly of the Shetland Isles, and in St George’s-Tron, in the center of Glasgow, as well as serving in the USA at First Presbyterian Church, Columbia, S.C. In addition, he was for many years Professor of Systematic Theology at Westminster Seminary in Philadelphia and at Redeemer Seminary in Dallas. He is currently a Ligonier Teaching Fellow, Chancellor’s Professor of Systematic Theology at Reformed Seminary, and the Herrell Visiting Professor at Westminster Seminary, Philadelphia. He has authored around fifty books and contributed to many others. He and his wife Dorothy have been blessed with three sons and a daughter and twelve grandchildren.”
David Platt

David Platt

David Platt serves as pastor at McLean Bible Church in Washington, D.C. He is the founder and chairman of Radical (Inc.), a global missions organization that serves the church for the cause of Christ—to glorify God by making disciples and multiplying churches among all the nations. Resources from David Platt and Radical can be found at radical.net. Books by David Platt include Radical, Radical Together, Follow Me, Counter Culture, and Something Needs to Change, as well as the following volumes in the Christ-Centered Exposition Commentary series: Exalting Jesus in Matthew, Exalting Jesus in James, Exalting Jesus in 1 & 2 Timothy and Titus, and Exalting Jesus in Galatians. David Platt received his Ph.D. from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Along with his wife and four children, he lives in the Washington D.C. metro area.
Alistair Begg

Alistair Begg

Alistair Begg has been in pastoral ministry since 1975. He graduated from the London School of Theology and subsequently served in Scotland at Charlotte Chapel in Edinburgh and Hamilton Baptist Church. In 1983, he became the senior pastor at Parkside Church near Cleveland, Ohio, where he continues to lead the congregation and teach God’s Word Sunday by Sunday. Alistair Begg is also the Bible teacher on the daily and weekend program Truth For Life. Truth For Life is distributed through 1,900 radio networks across the United States and can also be heard online at truthforlife.org, through YouTube, via podcast, and by way of numerous other listening platforms. Alistair is the author of several books. He and his wife Susan were married in 1975 and have three grown children and eight grandchildren.
John Piper

John Piper

John Piper serves as founder and lead teacher at Desiring God and is chancellor of Bethlehem College & Seminary. For 33 years, Piper served as pastor of Bethlehem Baptist Church. He has authored more than 50 books, and more than 30 years of his preaching and writing are available free of charge at desiringGod.org. Piper resides in the Minneapolis area with Noël, his wife of 53 years, and they have five children and 14 grandchildren.

H.B. Charles

H.B. Charles is the Pastor-Teacher at the Shiloh Metropolitan Baptist Church of Jacksonville and Orange Park, Florida, where he has served since 2008. H.B. is the author (or contributing author) of several books including: It Happens After Prayer, On Preaching, On Pastoring, The Difference Jesus Makes, and Power in the Pulpit. H.B. is married to the girl of his dreams, Crystal, and they have three children: H.B. III, Natalie, and Hailey.
Shai Linne

Shai Linne

Shai Linne is an author and recording artist who has released numerous acclaimed Christian hip-hop albums, including The Atonement, The Attributes of God and Jesus Kids. After completing a pastoral internship at Capitol Hill Baptist Church in Washington D.C., Shai co-founded Risen Christ Fellowship, an inner-city church in his hometown of Philadelphia, PA. Shai has been featured in or written articles for numerous Christian outlets, including Christianity Today, World Magazine, 9 Marks and The Gospel Coalition. Shai is the author of The New Reformation: Finding Hope in the Fight for Ethnic Unity, which was published in May 2021. Previously, he wrote God Made Me and You and co-authored It Was Good: Making Music to the Glory of God. Shai lives in Philadelphia with his wife Blair and their three children.
Kevin DeYoung

Kevin DeYoung

Kevin DeYoung is the senior pastor at Christ Covenant Church (PCA) in Matthews, North Carolina and Associate Professor of Systematic Theology at Reformed Theological Seminary (Charlotte). Prior to the summer of 2017, he pastored at University Reformed Church in East Lansing, Michigan (2004-2017). Kevin holds a Master of Divinity from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and received his Ph.D. in early modern history at the University of Leicester. He is the author of several books, including The Biggest Story, The Hole in Our Holiness, Crazy Busy, and Just Do Something. Kevin and his wife, Trisha, have nine children.
Ligon Duncan

Ligon Duncan

Ligon Duncan is Chancellor/CEO of Reformed Theological Seminary, and John E. Richards Professor of Systematic and Historical Theology. Born in Greenville, South Carolina, and reared in a Christian home, he did his studies at Furman University, Greenville, SC (BA); Covenant Theological Seminary, St. Louis (MDiv & MA); and the University of Edinburgh, Scotland (PhD). Ligon and his wife, Anne, have two children. Ligon has edited, written, and contributed to numerous books, most recently including: The Gospel As Center, Recovering Biblical Manhood and Womanhood, Preaching the Cross, Fear Not: Death and the Afterlife from a Christian Perspective, In My Place Condemned He Stood, and Does Grace Grow Best in Winter?.
Bobby Scott

Bobby Scott

Bobby Scott is the Pastor of Discipleship at Community of Faith Bible Church. Bobby loves teaching the Word of God and through the power of the Holy Spirit and watching it transform people’s lives (2 Cor 3:18). In this role, he oversees Sunday morning and mid-week teaching ministries. He also enjoys writing. You can find some of his articles on the Desiring God and 9Marks blogs. Bobby is passionate about strengthening the urban church. He is married to Naomi, and together, they love their six (Yes, six!) kids.
Juan Sanchez

Juan Sanchez

Juan has served as senior pastor of High Pointe Baptist Church since August 2005. He is a graduate of the University of Florida and holds an MDiv, a ThM, and a PhD in systematic theology from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. In addition, Juan serves as a council member of The Gospel Coalition, co-founder and president of Coalición, and assistant professor of Christian theology at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He has authored numerous books, including 1 Peter for You and Seven Dangers Facing your Church. His most recent book is The Leadership Formula: Develop the Next Generation of Leaders in the Church. Juan has been married to Jeanine since 1990, and they have five adult daughters.
Afshin Ziafat

Afshin Ziafat

Afshin Ziafat is the lead pastor of Providence Church in Frisco, TX. Afshin’s passion is to teach the Word of God as the authority and guide for life, to preach Jesus Christ as the only Savior and Redeemer of mankind, and to proclaim the love of Christ as the greatest treasure and hope in life. Before taking his current role in October 2010, Afshin spent over a decade traveling and proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ in churches, retreats, camps, and conferences, also traveling into the Middle East to train Iranian pastors. Afshin serves as a council member for The Gospel Coalition and has written for numerous outlets, including Desiring God. Greg Gilbert is the Senior Pastor of Third Avenue Baptist Church in Louisville, KY. He earned his B.A. from Yale University and his M.Div. from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.
